Rear hightening

Beitrag von Gast »

Hi there!
I'm new here and my german is a little rusty, so I hope English is OK for now. I'm from Sweden but I studied German in school some years ago.

I have hightened the rear of my ZXR H1 the way you are describing. The length of the original "hebel" (?) were about 155 mm (centre-centre), so I made new ones with about 147 mm. This turned out good on my bike and I wouldn't recommend hightening it very much more because the chain already rubs against the rubber chainguard on top of swingarm quite a lot, and this would get worse with more hightening. A few more millimeters might be OK though.

Vielen dank! 8)

Hope you don't mind me asking about old stuff in the future. It can be a bit difficult to search in old posts because I don't really know what all the parts on a bike are called in German. :?
